Seven-Minute Frosting
This is our favorite frosting. It’s not too sweet and has the taste and consistency of marshmallow fluff.
Servings: 4 Cups
Equipment
- Double Boiler
- Electric Hand Mixer
Ingredients
- 2 Egg whites
- 3/4 Cups white sugar
- 1/3 Cup Light corn syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cream of tarter
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Combine first 6 ingredients in a large double boiler. Cook over rapidly boiling water, while beating with electric hand mixer at highest speed, until mixture stands in stiff peaks. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, continuing to beat into very stiff peaks. Spread over cake or cupcakes quickly.
