Ground Beef Grand Style

Ground beef, creamy veggies, and cheesy biscuits on top! You could vary vegetables to taste or what you have on hand.

  • 1 Pound Ground beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped small
  • 1 Green pepper Chopped small
  • 1 Small box Mushrooms
  • 1 Cup Sour cream
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Garlic clove Minced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

For the Biscuits

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 4 Teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cream of tarter
  • 1 Cup Buttermilk OR regular milk
  • 1 Cup Shredded cheese


For the Filling

  • Brown meat and vegetables. Mix flour and ketchup and milk with sour cream, then stir into ground beef and veggie mixture.
    Stir until thickened. Pour into 8X8 baking pan.

For the Biscuits

  • Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Add buttermilk. Stir just until well-mixed. Add cheese. Use ice cream scoop to make uniformed biscuits. Flatten slightly with hands. Place on top of casserole.
    Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
